The Sumter County Sheriff's department has three free programs for all residents of the villages.

   1.  Bottle of Life - Program for anyone with a medical condition whereby you put a sticker in your window and a plastic vial in your refrigerator that gives a list of your medications, contact numbers, etc.   If a medical team has to come to your home for an emergency this information may be very helpful.

  2.  Home Security Inspection - A deputy will come to your home and inspect it and give helpful tips on how to improve the security of your house.

  3.  Peace of Mind - This is mainly for someone living alone.  Monday thru Friday a person in this program would call into a designated phone number and let them know they are O.K.  If the person does not call in by a certain time of day, the sheriff's office will come out and check on the person.
